Viktor Sitalo calls his approach to jewelry design “intuitive”. We call it – more-than-20-years-experience-based. Viktor is a goldsmith at AUKSO KALVE, a design lab headquartered in Klaipeda, Lithuania, right on the coast of the Baltic Sea. Viktor says his totem is a seagull. Funny, we think this bird is a bit like Viktor’s works that are laconic, non-sentimental, and stripped of excessive detailing. One might describe them as modern art-deco.

We find his works excitingly subtle and seriously well-made.

Whenever he makes a pair of earrings or a ring or something else equally beautiful, he has a secret wish - the owner would not feel completely dressed until he or she puts on that piece of jewelry. How mischievous is that!
